Some of the most beautiful fishing waters in the world are located in the Kailua-Kona area. With nearly perfect weather on the majority of days, our sport fishing charters are available to take you to where the sun is warm, the ocean is gorgeous blue and the fish are big. This may be your first charter fishing trip or perhaps you are an experienced fisher but either way, the excitement of the moment and the beauty of the water will surely be a memory of a lifetime.
Your Day on the Sport Fishing Vessel
Plan to get up early to start the day. Our fishing vessel leaves the dock at 6AM and we begin fishing right away as we leave dock. It is not unusual to get some bites as we leave the dock, in the waters around the marina. Then we will head on out, with the direction depending on what type of fish you choose to seek, based on the Captain’s knowledge of recent catches. Specific and helpful information will be given to all fishers, whether experienced or novice. Safety instruction is also offered so everyone is familiar with proper use of all equipment on board.
What Do You Plan to Catch
We fish all year round in Kona and the species of fish do change depending on the season, but it is very rare when fish are not biting. The waters around Kailua-Kona offer many varieties of sport fish including:
- Mahi-Mahi
- Striped Marlin
- Blue Marlin
- Spear Fish
Items You May Wish To Bring On Board
- Food and beverage (please no glass bottles.)
- Jacket ( depending on weather)
- Sunblock (lotion type is preferred)
- Cooler-to transport your fish
- Sunglasses
